A New Year Begins at Eau Brink Studio
As the year gently turns, I want to wish you all a very happy, healthy and creative New Year. This is always a moment for pause — a chance to look back with gratitude and forward with curiosity. Thank you for being part of the conversations, workshops, exhibitions, quiet studio days and busy event weekends that make this place what it is. Your support, in all its forms, is what allows the studio to keep growing and evolving.
This coming year feels especially meaningful, as Eau Brink Studio reaches its 10th year. A decade of stitching, teaching, experimenting, problem-solving, cups of tea, shared laughter and thoughtful making. What began as an idea has become a space rooted in community, learning and creative confidence, and I’m very much looking forward to celebrating this milestone with you throughout the year.
Looking ahead and planning well
The start of the year is often when many of us begin to think about how we want to spend our time — what we want to learn, make, explore or return to. If you know there are workshops you’d love to attend, booking in advance is always encouraged. It helps you plan creative space into your year, and it also helps the studio plan materials, group sizes and the rhythm of workshops so that each session can be as relaxed, thoughtful and well supported as possible.
New workshops now live
A number of new workshops are already live on the website, with more quietly being added behind the scenes. These include exciting sustainable clothing and textile workshops with Cat Nash, alongside returning favourites and newly developed sessions that have grown out of winter sampling, testing and reflection.
Whether your interest lies in hand stitching, mixed media textiles, repurposing cloth, developing technical skills or simply spending time making in good company, there will be opportunities across the year to suit different interests and experience levels.
A year to celebrate, explore and make
As the studio enters its tenth year, this feels less like a single moment and more like a thread running through the months ahead — a chance to reflect on where we’ve come from while continuing to explore where making might take us next. There will be new work, new workshops, familiar faces and new ones too, all woven into the year ahead.
Thank you for being part of the journey so far. I hope 2026 brings you time, space and inspiration to make — and I look forward to welcoming many of you back into the studio as the year unfolds.
Warm wishes,
Anita
