Ten Years of Eau Brink Studio – A Weekend Full of Support and Creativity

This weekend at Eau Brink Studio has been one I won’t forget in a hurry.

The studio was full, of visitors, conversations, stitching, and that shared energy that comes when people gather around creativity. As a textile art studio here in West Norfolk, these are the moments that remind me why this space exists in the first place.

Over the past ten years, Eau Brink Studio has grown into more than just a place to work. It’s become a space for craft workshops, learning, and connection, where people come to explore textiles, try something new, and spend time with others who simply enjoy making.

This weekend brought all of that together.

The support I’ve received, both over these few days and across the last decade, has been overwhelming in the best possible way.

The tutors I work with continue to inspire me. Each one brings their own approach, their own skills, and their own way of encouraging others. Whether it’s dressmaking, printmaking, or mixed media textile workshops, they help shape what Eau Brink Studio offers and make it a place where people feel comfortable learning and experimenting.

Behind the scenes, friends and family have been just as important. From helping set up the studio to keeping everything running smoothly, their support has always been there, often quietly, but always reliably.

And then there are the visitors.

Some of you return time and time again, others discovered us for the first time this weekend, but every single person who walks through the door adds something. A conversation, a question, a shared interest in fabric, thread, and making. It all matters.

There were moments this weekend where I had to stop and take it in. Not because it was too busy, but because it was genuinely moving to see how much this studio means, not just to me, but to others too.

Ten years ago, I couldn’t have imagined this.

And now, I’m looking ahead to the next ten.

There’s still so much to explore, more textile workshops to run, more ideas to develop, and  more people to welcome into the studio. If anything, this weekend has shown me that the need for creative spaces like this, especially for hands-on craft workshops in Norfolk, is stronger than ever.

So thank you.

For your support, your time, your conversations, and for being part of Eau Brink Studio.
