Explore how light can completely change the appearance of Lutradur in this creative, hands-on textile workshop at Eau Brink Studio.
During this three-hour session, you’ll experiment with translucency, layered surfaces, stitch and openings to discover how Lutradur responds when light passes through and around it.
Working with several weights of Lutradur, you’ll create textured and stitched surfaces, explore cut and layered areas, and develop samples that become more atmospheric when viewed with light behind them.
The emphasis is on experimentation and discovery, giving you ideas that can be developed into illuminated textile art, decorative panels, mixed media pieces and other light-responsive work.
During the workshop you will:
• Explore how light interacts with Lutradur
• Experiment with translucent and layered surfaces
• Use stitch, openings and cutwork to alter the passage of light
• Work with several weights of Lutradur
• Create a collection of light-responsive samples
• Develop ideas for future illuminated textile and mixed media work

All Lutradur and specialist materials used during the workshop are included in the price.
Sewing machines are available at the studio, although you are welcome to bring your own machine if you prefer.
Places are limited to allow plenty of individual support, so early booking is recommended
