Create a shimmering textile fish using stitch, fabric and mixed-media techniques
Join textile artist Ruth Holmes for a relaxed and creative workshop exploring colour, texture, layering and surface design.
You will build your fish step by step, combining fabric, thread and embellishment to create a piece with depth, movement and individual character. Ruth will guide you through the process while encouraging you to develop your own ideas and style.
During the workshop you will:
- create your own stitched textile fish
- explore layering and mixed-media techniques
- use stitch to add texture and detail
- experiment with colour and surface design
- build confidence working with textile materials
