During this three-hour session, you’ll discover how different weights of Lutradur can be layered, cut and stitched to create subtle shadows, openings and surfaces that interact beautifully with light.
You’ll experiment with transparency, cutwork, stitched openings and layered effects, creating a collection of light-responsive samples that can inspire future textile art, embroidery and mixed media projects.
No previous Lutradur experience is needed. This workshop is equally suitable for complete beginners and those continuing through the Lutradur series.
During the workshop you will:
• Explore transparent and translucent qualities of Lutradur
• Experiment with layering, cutwork and openings
• Work with several different weights of Lutradur
• Create stitched and textured surfaces that respond to light
• Produce a collection of experimental samples to take home
