Join Angie Hill for a focused one-day workshop exploring the traditional technique of reverse appliqué (mola) to create a striking stitched panel.
During the day, Angie will guide you through the process of layering fabrics and cutting back into the surface to reveal colour, pattern, and shape beneath. You’ll work methodically to develop your own design, learning how careful cutting and stitching can be used to build depth and bold visual impact.
All base materials are provided. You’ll need to bring along your own motif or shape to work from — this could be something simple or detailed, such as insects, beach huts, vehicles, or any imagery that inspires you.
By the end of the day, you’ll have a completed reverse appliqué panel and the confidence to continue exploring this versatile technique in your own textile work.
