Anita Rayfield shares how fabrics and threads can be combined with paint, dyes, papers, embellishments and other unexpected materials to create richly textured textile artwork.
The talk looks at ways of moving beyond traditional fabric and stitch, experimenting with surface design, layering, colour and mark-making to create work that is tactile, expressive and individual.
Examples of Anita’s own work are used throughout to show how ideas develop from initial inspiration through to finished pieces.
