The Katie kimono is a relaxed, two day free-cut jacket designed to make the most of your favourite patchwork pieces. We begin by creating a patchwork blanket-style base, layering batting between the outer fabric and lining. From this quilted cloth, the jacket is cut with as little waste as possible, allowing the patchwork to truly shine.
The jacket is finished with handmade bias binding around all edges, giving a clean, considered finish. The generous, free-size shape makes it easy to wear and wonderfully versatile — and for those feeling adventurous, the design can be made fully reversible.
You’ll need to bring enough fabric to cover a king-size bed twice to allow for both outer and lining.
Batting will be available to purchase from Anita on the day.
A beautiful way to bring treasured fabrics together into one practical, wearable piece.
