The Art of Lutradur: Folding, Form & Dimension

Discover how Lutradur can be transformed from a flat textile into sculptural, three-dimensional forms in this creative, hands-on workshop at Eau Brink Studio.

During this three-hour session, you’ll explore how medium-weight Lutradur can be folded, pleated, rolled and shaped, then heat-set so that it holds its form.

You’ll experiment with sharp pleats, curved folds, rolled sections and simple structures, discovering how heat can be used to encourage Lutradur to retain shape and create striking dimensional effects.

You’ll also explore how stitch can be used to secure or emphasise folds and joins, giving you a range of techniques that can be developed further in textile art, sculpture and mixed media work.

The emphasis is on experimentation and discovery, rather than producing one fixed project, so you’ll leave with a collection of samples and plenty of ideas for future work.

During the workshop you will:
