Experimental Textile Book Workshop at Eau Brink Studio

Explore the creative possibilities of Lutradur through layered pages, stitched surfaces and simple book forms in this experimental textile workshop at Eau Brink Studio in West Norfolk.

This workshop focuses on combining the techniques explored throughout the Lutradur series into small textile book structures filled with texture, transparency, stitch and surface detail.

Working with several weights of Lutradur, you will experiment with layered pages, cut surfaces, stitched details and simple bindings while creating a personal collection of textile pages and samples.

The workshop encourages an experimental approach where surfaces, textures and materials can be explored freely without the pressure of creating a perfect finished book.

Through guided demonstrations and creative exploration you will produce a small experimental textile book or collection of connected pages to continue developing at home.

This workshop is suitable for textile artists, embroiderers and mixed media creatives wanting to combine stitch, texture and surface design in a more personal and expressive way.

During the workshop you will:

All materials are included.

Sewing machines are available to use at the studio, although learners are welcome to bring their own machine if preferred.

Places are limited to allow plenty of individual support throughout the workshop.
