Spend a full day exploring the creative potential of Lutradur, a versatile man-made fabric that opens up exciting possibilities for textile artists and makers.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll experiment with a wide range of techniques, learning how Lutradur can be transformed through surface design and manipulation. Throughout the day you’ll be guided through:

• Painting and dyeing Lutradur to create layered colour and texture

• Stitching into the surface to add structure, detail, and movement

• Manipulating, embellishing, and carefully melting the fabric to achieve unique finishes

This is an exploratory, sample-led day designed to help you understand how Lutradur behaves and how it can be combined with other textile techniques. You’ll build a collection of samples and ideas that can be developed further in your own work.

All specialist materials are provided, including Lutradur, paints, and media — allowing you to experiment freely without needing to invest in supplies beforehand. Refreshments and homemade cake will be available throughout the day.
