In this relaxed and welcoming workshop, Cat Nash introduces you to the timeless craft of rag rug making. Using simple tools and recycled fabrics, you’ll learn how to build texture, colour, and pattern by hand—transforming humble materials into something both practical and beautifully expressive.

This workshop is about rhythm and process as much as outcome. You’ll explore traditional rag rug techniques while being encouraged to work intuitively, allowing the materials to guide your decisions. Whether your finished piece becomes a small sampler, a cushion panel, or the beginning of a larger rug, you’ll leave with new skills and a deeper appreciation for slow, mindful making.

No prior experience is needed. This session is suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to revisit textile techniques in a supportive, creative environment.
