Join Angie Hill for a thoughtfully structured one-day workshop exploring the satisfying combination of textile surface design and simple bookbinding.
During the day you’ll design and create a unique mixed-media textile book with a raised, tactile fabric cover. Angie will guide you through building layered surfaces using fabric, thread, hand stitching, and selected embellishments to add depth, texture, and character. Once your cover is complete, you’ll learn how to add signatures and hand-bind the pages, resulting in a fully functional, personalised book to take home.
This workshop is ideal if you enjoy working with textiles and would like to:
-
explore dimensional stitched surfaces
-
learn how textile work can translate into book form
-
gain confidence in simple hand bookbinding techniques
Designed to be accessible and unrushed, this workshop is ideal for beginners while still offering plenty of scope for experienced stitchers.
