Join Ruth Holmes for an inspiring workshop where you’ll create a unique fabric hanging attached to a large bobbin, using repurposed materials, stitching, and embellishments. In this creative session, you will design and stitch a length of fabric, incorporating layers of texture, color, and upcycled elements, transforming them into a distinctive piece of art.
Ruth will guide you through various hand and machine stitching techniques, as well as show you how to incorporate embellishments to add depth and individuality to your design. At the end of the day, you’ll attach your finished fabric to a large bobbin, turning your creation into a beautiful hanging display.
All materials will be provided, including a selection of repurposed fabrics and embellishments. Bring your sewing machine or request one from Eau Brink Studio. Sewing kits
